Isla Bohemia by Carner Barcelona – Welcome to the Mediterranean Collection

We are looking forward to summer and with it the vacation season. Whitsun is just around the corner and the summer vacations are slowly approaching. Some of you will no doubt be traveling south. We, on the other hand, are once again drawn to Denmark. However, Spain is still one of the most popular destinations in Europe. Carner Barcelona is a Spanish niche fragrance brand that recently launched Isla Bohemia, a fragrance that revolves around an island that could be in Spain, in another country or simply in our imagination.

The brand can certainly be described as a welcome guest on this blog, as we have introduced you to many creations from Carner Barcelona here. And the summery fragrances in particular were right up my street, so I have high hopes for Isla Bohemia. But first, I’ll link you to all the previous posts on Carner Barcelona below:

Isla Bohemia – A fragrance like a vacation

Part of the Mediterranean Collection, Isla Bohemia is an eau de parfum that evokes images of the turquoise blue sea and bright sandy beaches and creates a wonderful Mediterranean atmosphere. A fragrance that smells of vacation, sun and summer. Perfumer Nisrine Bouazzaoui Grillié was responsible for the olfactory realization of this eau de parfum from Carner Barcelona.

Top notes: bergamot, pear
Heart notes: iris, musk
Base notes: sandalwood, bourbon vanilla

Isla Bohemia starts with beautiful, delicate and sweet pear notes, which are accompanied by light, airy and molecular nuances. The opening of the creation is very sunny and summery, with pear fans getting their money’s worth. The iris gradually creeps into the fragrance, creating creamy, soft and subtly earthy accents that are infused with a fine freshness. The pear has already left the olfactory stage at this point, meaning that bourbon vanilla and sandalwood are now ready to make their entrance. These two also show their transparent side, providing the composition with a spicy sweetness and a creamy warmth that picks up on the facets of iris.

The new Eau de Parfum Isla Bohemia is a light and transparent blend of pear, musk, iris, vanilla and sandalwood that is very soft, sweet and comforting. A fragrant dream that you simply want to let yourself fall into. This summery and sunny creation is ideal for the current season and can be worn here for every occasion and every occasion. I would describe the presence as light to medium, and the longevity is good. Overall, the fragrance remains rather close to the skin and restrained, like a carefree moment on a dreamy summer’s day.
