Neuigkeiten en masse – nachdem wir gestern in Frankreich gestartet waren mit den Herbstlancierungen schauen wir mal, was Resteuropa so zu bieten hat.
Die Engländer zeigen sich gewohnt emsig und erfreuen uns gleich mit drei neuen Düften: Juniper Sling aus dem Hause Penhaligon’s sowie Floris‚ Sirena und Mahon Leather.
Juniper Sling von Penhaligon’s liest sich ganz herrlich: „Inspired by London Dry Gin and the gin-drinking Bright Young Things of the 1920s”, geschaffen von Olivier Cresp:
„Introducing Juniper Sling, an intoxicating new fragrance inspired by the most iconic and atmospheric of spirits: London Dry Gin. Created for Penhaligon’s by Master Perfumer Olivier Cresp, Juniper Sling is a playful, chilled and mysterious homage to the Bright Young Things of London’s roaring twenties.
For enigmatic boys and girls, Juniper Sling is a crisp cocktail shot of gin with the freshness of juniper, cool measures of angelica and brandy and a beating libertine heart of black pepper, cardamom, soft leather and orris. A gourmand base of brown sugar, black cherry and amber add sensuality to the scent.
A beloved and iconic tipple has been transformed into a complex and compulsive skin scent. Apply liberally and drink in.“

Floris widmen sich mit ihren beiden neuen der Private Collection zuzurechnenden Düften der Insel Menorca.
Zu Sirena liest man Folgendes:
„Minorca, the birthplace of Juan Famenias Floris and home of the bronze mermaid of Mahon, was the inspiration for this creation. The scent captures the spirit and warmth of this sun kissed Mediterranean island and its rich flora lingering on a gentle sea breeze. A distillation of summer memories.
Sirena is a sparkling floral marine fragrance with the freshness of a sea breeze introducing the soft floral heart of oleander, peony and rose with summer berries on a bed of musks and sandalwood.“
Und zu Mahon Leather haben Floris dieses zu sagen:
„Inspired by Minorca the theme combines the scent of the warm liqueur Calent, an infusion of wine and spices dating back to ancient times, paired with the exhilarating aroma of leather tack worn by the Minorcan Horse, symbolic of most cultural celebrations and fiestas on the island. Mahon Leather is a distillation of the tradition, soul and artistry of the birthplace of Juan Famenias Floris.“
Die beiden zentralen Noten der Kreation sind Leder und Safran, „in ein elegantes Herz von Vetiver gewebt“ und mit Hölzern und Ambra unterlegt.
Die Italiener von Prada erweitern ihre Exclusives Linie um die No. 11 – Cuir Styrax, von Daniela Andrier geschaffen. Außer Leder und Styraxharz finden sich wohl noch Weihrauch, Vanille, Orangenblüte und weißer Moschus in dem Duft, der wie gewohnt in der 30ml-Größe erscheinen wird.
Der dänische Avantgarde-Designer Henrik Vibskov hatte uns bereits im Rahmen der Six Scents-Reihe mit einem Duft erfreut: Fragrance 3 Solar Donkey Power aus der Series 2 war von ihm, jener warme, an eine skandinavische Sauna erinnernde Hesperidenverwöhner.
Nun war es wohl an der Zeit für eine eigene Duftkollektion:
„Danish fashion designer Henrik Vibskov has developed a new unisex fragrance series named TYPE. The series consists of three scents that reflect a specific moment in time in three different cities: Berlin, Copenhagen and Damascus. Playing with the simplicity of the cities‘ initial letters, the Eaux de Toilette called TYPE B, TYPE C and TYPE D not only represent three very unique and different fragrances, but above all reflect some of the very characteristics of each of the represented cities.“ (Quelle: Colette.fr)
Schöne Städte und hoffentlich auch schöne Düfte? Sie lesen sich zumindest sehr interessant:
„TYPE B, for Berlin, captures a cold winter’s day in the former Eastern part of the city, where – even today – numerous buildings and houses are heated with coal. While the scent starts with spicy and fizzy top notes (black pepper, sulphur match), it soon ignites its soft woody heart (cedarwood, vetyver, gaiac wood) and evolves towards an unexpected, yet cosy and welcoming musky black wood dry down (birch and coal tar), recollective of smoky and leatherish odors on the streets of Pankow.
TYPE C, for Copenhagen – Henrik’s homebase and creative cradle – is reminiscent of the salty air and fresh waters experienced on boating trips outside Trekroner fortress at the entrance to Copenhagen’s harbour, the best place to catch herrings. Fresh and tonic, TYPE C begins with a clear harmony of citrus (bergamot, mandarin, lemon) mixed with an ozonic “sea breeze” accord, marked by salty and solar facets. The drydown is a comfortable woody blend, enriched with the key note of the fragrance, sea weed.
TYPE D, for Damascus, is inspired by the fantasy of the Middle East and the ancient marketplaces of Damascus on a hot summer’s day – down the colourful, narrow streets where the air is saturated with a rich collection of enticing scents. Starting with the freshness of a spicy, citrus accord (bergamot, pink pepper), the scent soon unfolds into a warm and opulent floral boúqúet (jasmine, orange flower, ginger bread, cinnamon). The rich and sensual drydown unveils a woody, balsamic harmony of styrax wood, sandalwood, tonka bean and vanilla.”
