Knapp ein Jahr ist es her, dass ich euch die Marke Iggywoo und ihren charismatischen Gründer Richard Saint-Ford hier auf dem Blog vorgestellt habe. Auf Düfte wie Bohemian Water, Cashmere Show Pony, Fantasma Overglow, Cherry Love Extreme und Night Narcotic folgen nun zwei weitere Kreationen. Mit Lost in Vanillatopia und Pistachio Voodoo Child erweitert Iggywoo sein Portfolio um zwei sehr unterschiedliche, aber gleichermaßen spannende Kompositionen.

Lost in Vanillatopia – Vanille-Wunderland
Iggywoo ist ja bekannt für seine blumigen, exzentrischen und mitunter schrägen Duftbezeichnungen. Auch bei den beiden heutigen Kandidaten bleibt das Label seiner Linie treu. Lost in Vanillatopia … eine eigene, unwirklich erscheinende Traumwelt voller Vanille, in die man sich fallen lassen und verlieren möchte. Ein Ort, der weichgezeichnet wirkt, fast entrückt, durchzogen von goldener Wärme und cremiger Sanftheit. Oder wie im Pressetext zu lesen ist: „Vanillatopia – ein Reich, das cremig, golden und unendlich scheint.“
Kopfnote: Damaszener Rose, Grapefruit
Herznote: Moschus, Geißblatt
Basisnote: Vanille, Ambra, Tonkabohne
Likörige Vanille, süß und sinnlich, eröffnet Lost in Vanillatopia. Warme Pudernoten treffen auf liebliche Vanille, auf süßlich-florales Geißblatt und balsamische Ambra. Die Tonkabohne tritt deutlich hervor und fügt der Komposition ihre cremig-mandelige, leicht würzige Facette hinzu, die sich wunderbar in die betörende Melange einfügt. Die Kopfnoten Grapefruit und Rose nehme ich nicht gesondert wahr, doch vermutlich sorgen sie im Hintergrund für feine Frische und eine subtile Leichtigkeit, die verhindert, dass der Duft zu dicht oder zu schwer wirkt.
Lost in Vanillatopia von Iggywoo ist ein außergewöhnlich schöner Vanilleduft, der sehr dicht und fein verwoben komponiert wurde. Einen klassischen Duftverlauf kann ich kaum ausmachen – vielmehr bleibt die Komposition konstant in ihrer warmen, umhüllenden Signatur. Eine behagliche, fast schwebende Vanille, die likörig, samtig und angenehm hautnah wirkt, durchzogen von pudrigen und sanft balsamischen Nuancen. Perfekt für Herbst und Winter und dabei vielseitig tragbar. Ein Wohlfühlduft, nicht nur für Vanillefans.
Pistachio Voodoo Child – Nussig-grüner Blütenzauber
Nach der Vanille dreht sich die zweite Kreation des Tages um eine weitere Köstlichkeit: die Pistazie. Pistaziendüfte sind in den letzten Jahren vermehrt auf den Markt gekommen – man denke etwa an Latte Pistachio von New Notes, Golden Pistachio von Sensatio Paris, Fortuitous Finley von Penhaligon’s, Pistachio von D.S. & Durga oder À la carte von Lengling Parfums. Auch Dilshad No.17.1 von Pierre Guillaume und Un Jour Sans Fin von Maison Matine setzen die Nuss gekonnt in Szene.
Der Name Pistachio Voodoo Child verweist übrigens weder auf die Nuss selbst noch auf schwarze Magie oder ein bestimmtes Kind, sondern auf eine Taglilie namens Voodoo Dancer. Ihre auffälligen Blüten changieren zwischen dunklem Rot und Schwarzviolett, während ihr Inneres in leuchtendem Gelb bis Orange erstrahlt.

Basisnote: Pistazie, Vanille, Sandelholz
Nussig-grüne Noten eröffnen Pistachio Voodoo Child von Iggywoo – weniger cremig, als man es von anderen Pistaziendüften gewohnt ist, dafür frischer, luftiger und ein wenig unkonventionell. Die Pistazie wirkt hier nicht süß oder gourmandig, sondern eher natürlich und leicht herb. Bald schon betritt ein durchaus als opulent zu bezeichnender Weißblüher die olfaktorische Bühne: die Lilie. Üppig, betörend und kraftvoll zeigt sie sich, begleitet von cremigem Jasmin, der nicht minder präsent auftritt und der Komposition eine sinnliche Blütenfülle verleiht. Erst im Ausklang geben die beiden floralen Grazien den Weg frei für ruhigere, weichere Noten: lieblich-warme Vanille und samtiges Sandelholz lassen den Duft sanft und behaglich ausklingen.
Pistachio Voodoo Child ist ein ungewöhnlicher Pistazienduft, der sich bewusst von den oft süßen, gourmandigen Interpretationen abhebt. Statt cremiger Dessert-Assoziationen zeigt er sich grüner, floraler und deutlich eleganter. Die Kombination aus nussiger Frische und opulenten Weißblühern verleiht der Komposition eine spannende Dynamik, die sich im Verlauf in eine weiche, warme Basis ergießt. Ein Duft für alle, die Pistazie einmal anders erleben möchten. Unisex tragbar, mit einer gewissen Präsenz, dabei aber nie überladen. Besonders schön in den Übergangszeiten oder an kühleren Tagen.

was für ein herrlicher Einblick in die neuesten Streiche von Richard Saint-Ford! Es ist faszinierend zu sehen, wie Iggywoo es immer wieder schafft, vermeintlich „klassische“ Themen wie Vanille oder Pistazie so exzentrisch und tiefgründig zu interpretieren.
Normalerweise bin ich ein hoffnungsloser Fall für alles, was nach goldener Wärme und Geborgenheit klingt – Lost in Vanillatopia wirkt wie eine olfaktorische Umarmung, in der man die Welt für einen Moment auf ‚Stumm‘ schalten kann.
Doch mein Herz schlägt diesmal für das Unkonventionelle: Pistachio Voodoo Child. Die Vorstellung, dass hier keine süße Eiscreme-Note wartet, sondern eine grün-herbe Pistazie, die sich mit der fast schon mystischen Opulenz der Lilie paart, ist absolut unwiderstehlich. Ein Duft, der nicht ‚Gourmand‘ schreit, sondern eine florale Magie verströmt, die so kontrastreich ist wie die namensgebende Taglilie selbst – genau das brauche ich für die Tage, an denen ich mich nicht nur einkuscheln, sondern auch ein wenig aus der Reihe tanzen will.

„Lost in Vanillatopia“ klingt wie ein warmer Sonnenuntergang auf nackter Haut – weich, süß und voller Geborgenheit.
„Pistachio Voodoo Child“ dagegen wie eine verbotene Nacht voller Geheimnisse, Magie und süßer Gefahr.
Und genau deshalb ist diese Entscheidung so unmöglich: Der eine Duft fühlt sich an wie ein sanfter Tagtraum, der andere wie eine hypnotische Obsession, die man nicht mehr aus dem Kopf bekommt.
Vanille zum Versinken oder Pistazie mit dunkler Verführung? Das ist keine normale Duftfrage mehr – das ist ein kompletter Mood.
Iggywoo schafft es wirklich, Düfte nicht nur riechen zu lassen, sondern ganze Welten daraus zu bauen. Man möchte sich eigentlich gar nicht entscheiden müssen … sondern einfach beide Persönlichkeiten tragen.

Ich bin hoffnungslos verloren, sobald warme Vanille, cremige Tonkabohne und diese kuschelige Amber-Atmosphäre ins Spiel kommen. Der Duft klingt wie eine weiche Kaschmirdecke an einem goldenen Herbsttag – sinnlich, elegant und gleichzeitig unglaublich beruhigend. 💛
Pistachio Voodoo Child klingt zwar super spannend und außergewöhnlich, aber mein Herz schlägt einfach für samtige Wohlfühl-Vanille mit Suchtfaktor. 🍦🤍

Was mich an dieser Beschreibung besonders fasziniert, ist der bewusste Verzicht auf die typisch süße „Dessert-Pistazie“. Ich suche oft nach Düften, die eine nussige Natürlichkeit besitzen, ohne in synthetische Frische abzugleiten. Besonders spannend finde ich den Moment, wenn die „floralen Grazien“ aus opulentem Weißblüher und Jasmin die Bühne betreten. Da ich ein großer Fan von cremigen und pudrigen Texturen bin, klingt das Zusammenspiel mit dem samtigen Sandelholz und der lieblichen Vanille im Ausklang nach der perfekten olfaktorischen Umarmung.
Gerade für die Übergangszeit suche ich eine Komposition, die eine gewisse Präsenz zeigt, dabei aber elegant und behaglich bleibt. Die Vorstellung einer „sinnlichen Blütenfülle“, die sanft in eine weiche Basis übergeht, hat mich sofort gepackt. Ich würde mich riesig freuen, mit dem Discovery Set tiefer in die unkonventionelle Welt von Iggywoo einzutauchen
