Nebular – Galactically Good

Nebular’s fragrances are called One Galaxy, Aurora, Halo, and Supernova —and that should quickly make it clear what the brand is all about: the cosmos and its fascinating phenomena. Galaxies, the Northern Lights, glowing halos, and exploding stars provide the inspiration for the first four fragrances from this young niche fragrance brand.

All four fragrances have a fragrance oil concentration of 25%. The Eaux de Parfum are manufactured in Europe and, according to Nebular, are made using traditional perfumery methods and carefully selected raw materials. The bottles receive just as much attention: Nebular uses high-purity silicate glass that is fire-polished for exceptional clarity. In keeping with the cosmic concept, their design is clean and futuristic, with substantial glass, geometric shapes and a different color for each fragrance.

One Galaxy – A Minimalist Cosmos

Galaxies consist of unimaginable numbers of stars, as well as gas, dust, and dark matter, held together by gravity. Our Milky Way alone is estimated to contain between 100 and 400 billion stars, and yet it is just one of countless galaxies in the universe. These are dimensions that are almost impossible to imagine—and perhaps that is precisely why they are so fascinating. With One Galaxy, Nebular takes this vastness as its inspiration and translates it into a surprisingly minimalist composition.

Top notes: Pink pepper
Middle notes: Rose, Iris
Base notes: Javanol, Ambroxan, Musk

Sparkling pink pepper and luminous rose meet powdery, subtly earthy iris in the opening. From the very beginning, fluffy, milky and ethereal nuances run through the composition, lifting it into realms that seem almost otherworldly. Very airy, transparent, and close to the skin, One Galaxy feels like a delicate, light mist that gently settles around you. Rather understated and with distinctly molecular facets, One Galaxy is the ideal fragrance for anyone who prefers delicate, clean, and gentle creations that rest on the skin like a subtle olfactory veil. ongevity is excellent, and the Eau de Parfum also works beautifully for layering. An easy-going unisex all-rounder for any occasion and any season.

Aurora – A Shimmering Spectacle in the Sky

Aurora is the Latin word for dawn, but the term is also used for one of the most spectacular light phenomena in our atmosphere: the polar lights. They occur when electrically charged particles carried by the solar wind interact with Earth’s magnetic field and particles in the upper atmosphere. The result is the luminous bands and veils – often shimmering in shades of green, red or violet – that can be seen in the night sky, particularly in the polar regions. Aurora by Nebular, however, is bathed in warm golden tones – a color palette that turns out to be a perfect match for the fragrance itself.

Top notes: rum, sesame
Middle notes: honey, cinnamon, tobacco
Base notes: caramel, tonka bean, ambroxan, Javanol, musk

Yummy! Aurora opens with wonderfully boozy rum notes that make you want to sink right into the fragrance. Cinnamon and tonka bean add warm, vanilla-spiced nuances, while honey, caramel and tobacco create a golden, aromatic and creamy sweetness. Nutty sesame adds an intriguing twist. Surprisingly present yet beautifully harmonious, this Eau de Parfum is perfect for autumn and winter in my opinion. Its seductive gourmand character runs through the entire composition without ever becoming too heavy or cloyingly sweet. An absolute must-try for anyone who loves boozy fragrances with spices, honey and tobacco!
