Pomelo Malindi by New Notes – All about yellow

Pomelo Malindi by New Notes has just arrived in our store. A fragrance that revolves around the citrus fruit pomelo and smells like pure summer. The Italian label’s last creations were also bangers and so I have high expectations for the latest eau de parfum. As always, I’m happy to link you to my latest posts so that everyone can get a good overview of the brand’s previous launches:

Pomelo Malindi – Kenya meets citrus fruit

With New Notes, the fragrance name usually gives away quite clearly where the journey is heading. Pomelo Malindi is quite clear here. Pomelo has been an increasingly common ingredient in perfumes for some years now. For example, in Pomelo Assoluto by Gritti, Pomelo Crush by Heeley or Anelo by Pernoire, to name just a few examples.

But the name of the creation reveals even more: Malindi presumably refers to a Kenyan coastal town. The direct connection between the Hesperide and Malindi remains unclear. Whether the Kenyan beaches were the inspiration for the eau de parfum or whether the name of the town simply seemed appropriate due to its sound … we will probably never know. But that’s not a bad thing, because after all, the inner, olfactory values of the creation are important to us. And that’s exactly what we want to focus on now.

Top notes: grapefruit, yuzu, lemon, lime
Heart notes: coriander, nutmeg, mint, orange blossom, jasmine
Base notes: patchouli, sandalwood, cedarwood, ambergris, musk

Pomelo Malindi opens with a colorful mix of citrus fruits. Tart, tangy and refreshingly fruity, an invigorating, vitalizing kick of freshness to spray on. The hesperides remain dominant as the fragrance progresses, although greenish-herbal nuances are slowly added. Creamy flowers provide a gentle, light floral rounding, while nutmeg adds spicy, pungent accents. In the finish, the eau de parfum gradually becomes woody-earthy and exudes warm, powdery nuances. The citrus fruits are still recognizable in the base as a gentle breeze on the horizon.

Pomelo Malindi by New Notes is a refreshing and sparkling summer fragrance that should appeal to anyone who prefers tart, citrusy creations with fine herbal vibes. Ideal for the warmer season and especially for hot days. Very balanced and harmoniously composed, Pomelo Malindi can be worn for any occasion. A pomelo creation that is wonderfully invigorating and refreshing on hot summer days. Have you tried the fragrance yet?
