These industrious nectar-gatherers serve as both a source of inspiration and the central symbol of the brand, which has already impressively demonstrated through its previous fragrance collections just how versatile this theme can be interpreted olfactorily. With the new La Ruche Collection, Nectar Olfactif is now taking it a step further. La Ruche – In the Spirit of Bees
La Ruche translates to “The Beehive.” The new collection aims not only to delight our senses with its fragrances but also to contribute to the protection of bees and their habitats. To this end, Nectar Olfactif is partnering with the Natur’Abelha association, which is based in the hills above Grasse. For every product sold in the line, Nectar Olfactif donates one euro to the organization. Sustainability also plays a major role in La Ruche: The packaging is made from recycled cardboard, and the three Eau de Parfums—with a fragrance oil concentration of 20%—contain up to 85% ingredients of natural origin.
Café Gourmand – A Delicious Coffee Experience
A good cup of coffee paired with a small sweet treat. In France, this combination is known as a “café gourmand.” Instead of one large dessert, several small delicacies are served with an espresso—a perfect moment of indulgence for David Perrin. It was precisely this inspiration that perfumer Amandine Galliano translated into “an enveloping and warm fragrance composition” that “evokes those simple moments when we treat ourselves to a moment of pure, unadulterated pleasure.”

Café Gourmand opens with a distinctly spicy note of the finest saffron and cinnamon, while coffee slowly comes to the fore in the background. Dark, roasted, and wonderfully aromatic, it blends with the spices to create a gentle, enveloping blend that feels wonderfully balanced. Vanilla adds subtle, sweet accents without introducing too much sweetness. As the fragrance develops, smooth benzoin resin, warm woods, and powdery musk join in, making the scent increasingly soft and creamy.

Sometimes powdery and clean, sometimes creamy and close to the skin, it reveals an incredible range of facets. With Musc Sensuel, Nectar Olfactif dedicates a unique creation to this special fragrance note, combining soft musk with fruity accents, delicate florals, and a hint of sweetness. Perfumer Christian Carbonnel composed a “fragrance that balances purity and desire—a discreet elegance, a mystery that unfolds upon closer inspection.”

Very light, radiant, and airy, Musc Sensuel unfolds like a delicate veil of fragrance that gently settles on the skin. Both emphasize the transparent, powdery-soft character of the fragrance, in which the other fruity notes are barely perceptible. For Safran Doré, David Perrin drew inspiration from a very special delicacy: saffron-infused honey, which he discovered at Natur’Abelha. He wanted to capture its sunny sweetness and delicate fruity nuances in a fragrance that combines the spicy depth of saffron with gourmand accents. Perfumer Clément Marx was responsible for the creation.

Safran Doré opens bright, airy, and gentle, surprising with a transparency I wouldn’t have expected given its ingredients. Anyone who, like me, was expecting a rich, opulent fragrance will quickly be proven wrong. The saffron comes across as almost delicate—subtly leathery, soft as cotton, and underscored by a creamy, sweet note. The spices lend the composition a subtle warmth without becoming sharp. Fruity nuances are only perceptible in the background, adding delicate accents. As the fragrance develops, Safran Doré becomes increasingly soft and supple, with a gentle, sugary sweetness accompanying the bright saffron note. Safran Doré is a surprisingly light, skin-close saffron fragrance that presents itself as soft, elegant, and wonderfully balanced, with a subtle spiciness and delicate gourmand undertones. A beautiful unisex fragrance for anyone who loves saffron but isn’t looking for an overpowering spice bomb. Perfect for everyday wear and a wonderful companion, especially during the cooler months.
