With Lucid Dream, Reinvented Parfums presents a creation that transports us into the realm of dreams – beyond mere scent perception. The name itself suggests that we are embarking on a journey into the subconscious: Lucid Dream is dedicated to the experience of lucid dreaming, that dazzling state between reality and illusion in which we become aware of our own dream world. Reinvented Parfums thus dares to translate a deeply fascinating, almost mystical phenomenon of consciousness into an olfactory language.
I have already reported on Reinvented Parfums several times here. For the brand, perfume is an artistic medium that should not merely be decorative, but should inspire reflection, feeling, and experience. Each creation stands for “freedom, emotion, and a deep sense of style,” and is thus a commitment to individuality. Lucid Dream – Immerse yourself in a dream world
Lucid Dream is dedicated—as already mentioned—to lucid dreaming. But what exactly does that mean? The term refers to the state in which we realize in the middle of a dream that we are dreaming. This awareness opens up the possibility of actively shaping the dream: we can fly, change scenes, bring about encounters—and at the same time maintain a clarity that makes the dream seem astonishingly real. Many people rarely experience such moments, while others train specifically to achieve them. Psychologists and philosophers see lucid dreaming as a fascinating interface between consciousness and the subconscious.
Perfumer Cristian Calabrò was responsible for the olfactory interpretation of this exciting and extraordinary theme, combining a selection of the finest and most exquisite notes for the Extrait de Parfum: Saffron, raspberry, plum, rose, white flowers, floral notes, sandalwood, patchouli, and agarwood (oud) make this creation a very special fragrance treat, which I already tested with enthusiasm at Esxence in Milan last February. What does Lucid Dream by Reinvented Parfums smell like?
I can tell you in advance that Lucid Dream smells divine. Well-balanced, leathery, spicy saffron opens the fragrance, accompanied by the wonderful fruity nuances of dark plum and sweet-sour raspberry. The saffron in this composition is neither harsh nor gloomy, neither dominant nor heavy, but blends with the fruity accents to create an incredibly harmonious mélange. This is topped off by the creamy facets of white flowers, which not only lend the fragrance a delicate sweetness, but also, in combination with saffron, wonderfully soft and gentle suede notes. The creation is velvety, supple, and flowing, so comfortable, enveloping, and yet so expressive. Sandalwood gives the composition balsamic-woody notes, while patchouli underscores the creamy nuances with a gentle earthiness. A hint of oud evokes subtle smoky accents in the background.
Who is Lucid Dream suitable for?
For me, Lucid Dream is one of the best new launches of 2025. A stunning, elegant and absolutely harmonious creation that combines spicy, fruity, leathery and creamy notes in a seductive and fascinating way. Perfect for anyone looking for a cozy fragrance for fall and winter who loves the combination of saffron, leather, and fruit.
Is Lucid Dream unisex?
The Extrait de Parfum is unisex, suitable for any occasion, and has a medium presence. Fortunately, it has excellent staying power. Lucid Dream is a fragrance that ranks high on my must-have list and has been on my mind since I first tested it at the trade fair in February.
