In this second article on the Paradis des Sens brand, I’d like to introduce you to three fragrances that revolve around sensations that are a bit more intense, seductive, and perhaps even dangerous. Seven Heaven, Divina, and Nirvana are part of the Forbidden Sensations Collection, and their names are so alluring that you can’t help but be curious about what lies behind them.
The Forbidden Sensations represent the darker, more sensual side of Paradis des Sens. While the recently introduced Universal Sensations are more straightforward companions for everyday use, these are deeper, sweeter, and downright addictive. The brand itself describes them as “sweetness with tension” and a special presence for the hours after dark.
Seven Heaven – Like Being in Seventh Heaven
The name could be a reference to the idiom “to be in seventh heaven”: to be on cloud nine, to be utterly happy. And it is precisely this state that Paradis Des Sens aims to capture olfactorily with Seven Heaven. Hence the keywords “lightness,” “romantic radiance,” and “powdery softness” that the brand uses to describe the creation, which was crafted by perfumer Philippine Courtiére.

A zesty, fruity opening – a harmonious blend of citrus fruits, lychee, and juicy, sweet pear – is soon followed by subtle, earthy, creamy iris and airy, fresh rose. In the background, I detect a dark facet that reminds me of saffron or oud, lending the fragrance depth and richness. Finally, the eau de parfum glides into a smooth, soft creaminess, accompanied by crystalline musk, delicate vanilla, and subtly leathery, warm amber.
Seven Heaven is a modern, dark rose fragrance with oud accents, yet it retains a light and airy quality. I don’t really see this fragrance as a classic office scent; rather, I picture it being worn in the evening and when going out. Its sillage is moderate, and its longevity is excellent.
Divina – Seduction or Innocence?
Divina means something like “the Divine,” and at Paradis des Sens, this clearly allows for a seductive side. Sensuality, velvet, and creamy danger are the three keywords the brand uses to describe the fragrance. What could possibly lie behind that last one? In any case, Divina is said to combine warmth and sweetness with a sensual, almost skin-like creaminess. In other words, it’s a fragrance that’s likely to come across as less innocent than its divine name might initially suggest.

Divina opens with a bright, airy, and cool scent, which at first seems a world away from the wickedly lascivious allure that the Eau de Parfum is meant to exude. Gradually, the fragrance becomes softer, creamier, and powderier, with a fruity orange note that carries hints of bubblegum. Light cedarwood adds clean facets, while the tonka bean, with its hay-like coumarin notes, underscores the sweet spiciness of the vanilla.
Divina by Paradis Des Sens is sweet, fruity-floral, and soft as cotton. A transparent, enveloping, and sensual fragrance – less wickedly alluring than expected, yet thoroughly seductive. With its creamy-powdery, delicate floral notes and understated character, this Eau de Parfum is an approachable and comforting companion for every season and every occasion.
Nirvana – Smells Like Pure Bliss
The very name Nirvana promises a state of perfect bliss. Paradis Des Sens, however, interprets this not as a transcendent meditation, but in a decidedly more pleasurable way: warm, spicy, a bit intoxicating, and above all, wonderfully cozy. Of course, Nirvana is also accompanied by three keywords: letting go, a gentle buzz, and a sense of security. In other words, a comforting moment far removed from everyday life—one that perfumer Marzia Tissino has translated into a fragrance for Paradis des Sens.

Nirvana is definitely no stranger to a glass of cognac. The eau de parfum opens with beautiful boozy notes, closely followed by the spicy nuances of tonka bean and cinnamon. Roasted hazelnuts add creamy, gourmand facets to the composition, which harmonize beautifully with the velvety and warm woody accents of sandalwood. Soft, comforting cashmere wood and the finest vanilla lend the finish a cozy and seductive atmosphere of well-being – one you simply want to lose yourself in with pure delight.
