Let’s get flirty with Juicy Rose and Blushy Lips by The Pink Artist

Two flowers are at the center of today’s Juicy Rose and Blushy Lips creations: rose – that wasn’t too hard to guess – and iris. After I showed you in the last post Pink, please! – The Pink Artist brings summer to your skin Tropical Smoothie and Mojito, the next two fragrances in the collection now follow. Finally, we conclude with Chocolat Noir and Lait d’Amande.

Juicy Rose – Light, clear and really juicy

Rose is one of those fragrances that is instantly recognizable and yet it never ceases to surprise. Hardly any other flower is so present in perfumery and at the same time so changeable. Its spectrum ranges from powdery to opulent, from fresh to soapy. Sometimes it is fruity, sometimes greenish and often everything at the same time.

It is precisely this versatility that makes it so appealing. The rose can appear light-hearted and bright or deep and sensual, almost with an aura as seductive as a femme fatale. Perhaps it is precisely this versatility that makes it so interesting to this day.

Top notes: orange, clementine, blackcurrant
Heart notes: rose, raspberry leaves
Base notes: patchouli, vanilla

Light, airy and lucid, Juicy Rose starts the fragrance. The citrus fruits emphasize the light, fresh side of the rose, while dark berries provide beautiful and very authentic fruit accents. Blackcurrant is clearly perceptible, and I can also sniff out raspberries – juicy, sweet and wonderfully summery. The olfactory link is the rose itself: delicately fruity, fresh and with a slightly soapy nuance, wonderfully carefree and youthful.

Juicy Rose is a bright, modern and carefree rose fragrance, clear, uncomplicated and catchy. This is precisely its appeal. The composition remains transparent and pleasantly light throughout. The balance between freshness and fruitiness is particularly successful and is so finely balanced that the fragrance neither tends towards sweetness nor heaviness, but is almost reduced and very clear. An everyday companion for the warmer months of the year that is playful and modern while retaining a subtle, understated romanticism.

Blushy Lips – Come and kiss me

With Blushy Lips, The Pink Artist is moving in a different direction. Instead of freshness and fruit, the focus here is on powdery, creamy iris facets: lipstick, powder, a touch of vintage aesthetics – without appearing old-fashioned. The label uses a number of ingredients that we are already familiar with from Juicy Rose. Rose and blackcurrant can also be found here, but are complemented by other notes that bring the characteristic, soft and slightly cosmetic nuances of iris to the fore.

Top notes: blackcurrant, black pepper
Heart notes: iris, violet, rose
Base notes: vanilla, tolu balsam, styrax resin

It starts off fruity and rosy! The opening of Blushy Lips is not too far removed from the opening of Juicy Rose, although the blackcurrant is less dominant here. Instead, the creation slowly slides into creamy realms. The iris is bright and powdery here, combining beautifully with the fruity-floral nuances of rose and berries. The violet underlines the powdery notes with its very own, enchanting facets before the composition gradually glides into the vanilla-spicy and smooth, soft base.

Blushy Lips by The Pink Artist is a spring-summery and pleasant mix of flowers, berries and powdery-creamy notes with a spicy-soft finish. The composition is harmonious and balanced, remaining rather restrained and close to the skin. An uncomplicated, rather quiet fragrance companion for any occasion that simply puts you in a good mood.
