It’s been a while since I introduced you to new fragrances from Montale. Today it’s finally time again:
Be My Plum – Pastel-colored plum blossom
With Be My Plum, Montale has added the color lilac to the Pastel Collection, which also includes Bubble Forever, Dallachaï, Oud Sapparot, Holy Neroli and Lucky Candy. This can also be found as an ingredient in the eau de parfum: plum, pink pepper, eaglewood (oud), plum blossom, lilac, tiare blossom, ylang-ylang, coconut, vanilla, sugar and musk are the ingredients of the composition, which aims to bring summer back to us.
Be My Plum is an icon in the Pastel Collection: not just a fragrance, but an expression that lasts. Lilac, reinterpreted. Sensual, attractive and irresistible. Be My Plum captures the moment when the warmth of summer lingers in the fall. A perfume that stays with you. A crackle that lingers.
With the Pastel Collection, Montale shows a lighter, more colorful side. Instead of opulent oud accords, the focus here is on transparency, fruity accents and modern softness. The pastel-colored flacons pick up on this mood and reflect the character of the respective composition. Overall, the line appears more accessible and clearer – but with the usual good presence on the skin.
What does Be My Plum by Montale smell like?
Light, powdery, airy and sweet, Be My Plum starts the fragrance. Soft, comforting blossoms – seductive and intoxicating – create a milky-soft and extremely smooth creaminess with dark fruity plum accents. Eaglewood brings a fine, subtly smoky woodiness to the creation, adding exciting accents and blending extremely harmoniously into the cozy, fluffy and cotton-soft texture of flowers, vanilla, sugar and coconut. The creation is always characterized by a certain freshness and transparency, never appearing too dense, opulent or heavy, but more like a milky veil that covers the skin.
Is Be my Plum more of a fruit or a floral fragrance?
Be My Plum is not an opulent fruit fragrance, not a plum bomb, but a floral, soft and gentle melange that is characterized by powdery, fluffy and gentle notes. The plum sets accents, but is not the predominant ingredient in my eyes. The oud is very submissive and well-mannered, it is only perceptible in an underlining function and provides creamy, smoky facets. The composition itself is very harmonious and has those typical Montale vibes that many people love so much. I would classify the presence as medium, the durability as well. A springy, summery eau de parfum for all those who love fruity, floral, feel-good fragrances.
Intense Starry Nights – Starry sky deluxe
Intense Starry Nights is – as mentioned – the more opulent interpretation of Starry Nights, which was released in 2015. The original eau de parfum was characterized by a powdery, musky blend of Bulgarian rose and patchouli. The Intense version also remains true to this duo, but expands it noticeably: Pierre Montale combines Bulgarian rose and patchouli with bergamot, lemon, apple, rose, ambergris, bourbon vanilla and white musk to create a much fuller, more present composition.
What does Intense Starry Nights by Montale smell like?
Dark, earthy-woody patchouli and cool, almost metallic shimmering rose nuances characterize the opening of Intense Starry Nights right from the start. Citrus accents bring a tart, tangy freshness to the composition and lend it lightness and transparency. As the fragrance progresses, vanilla, musk and ambergris become more prominent. They provide spicy, powdery facets that beautifully frame and underline the central duo of patchouli and rose. In terms of presence and longevity, the extrait lives up to its name – it remains clearly perceptible even after many hours.
Is Intense Starry Nights a fragrance for every day?
Intense Starry Nights is a powerful, expressive mix of earthy patchouli and lush rose, accompanied by citrus fruits and warm spices. For me, this is a fragrance that is more suitable for special occasions or in the evening. Dark, mysterious and quite opulent, it carries the typical Montale DNA and should delight all those who appreciate striking patchouli-rose compositions with excellent longevity.
