We are in the third part of the new Fascent brand and today is supposed to be cheerful, warm and summery. It’s freezing cold up here by the Baltic Sea, but at least the sun is shining, which makes me feel a bit better. The two Eaux de Parfum I Fig You and L’Eau d’Or Dort will also take us into Mediterranean fragrance realms, as figs and citrus fruits are the ingredients that will be the main focus of this article.
Sustainability at Fascent – Everything for the environment
Sustainability plays a central role at Fascent and has been considered from the outset. This is reflected not only in the fragrance, but also in the design and the materials used. The striking caps are 3D-printed from cornstarch-based bioplastic, while the bottles themselves are made from recycled glass. The brand also sets clear standards for the formulations and deliberately avoids problematic additives. Packaging made from FSC-certified paper, water-based printing inks and refill solutions made from glass instead of plastic round off the coherent overall concept.
I Fig You – A different kind of fig
The name I Fig You is not entirely free of double meanings in German – probably without any intention, as Fascent is a French brand. Nevertheless, I can’t help but smile a little. In any case, the color green not only has a connection to figs, but also to nature. “An infectious energy that takes root in your own nature and anchors you firmly in the present” is said to be inherent in I Fig You. The fragrance is intended to ground you, to convey calm when the world outside seems to be getting too loud, too busy and turbulent.

Testing I Fig You by Fascent
Citrusy and greenish-aromatic, I Fig You kicks off the fragrance. A rich citrus tartness combines with the flowing notes of green tea and the fine herbal nuances of sage. I can also smell the fig. It is not the juicy fruit but the leaves that lend the creation powerful facets reminiscent of leaf juice and fig. Meanwhile, the carrot seeds add powdery-creamy accents. The fresh, tangy and green-aromatic notes of the opening are also perceptible as the fragrance progresses. They combine with the fig leaves and carrot seeds to create a very harmonious, calm and clear creation that is both energizing and calming. Cedar and vetiver round off the fragrance with clean, bright and creamy woody nuances.
Tart, refreshing, dynamic – I Fig You is a citrusy-green, aromatic-creamy blend of hesperides, herbs, fig leaves and woods with a clear, vitalizing transparency. Some might classify it as masculine, but in my eyes it is absolutely unisex. With a medium presence and just as long-lasting, the eau de parfum is an uncomplicated and pleasant companion for the warmer months of the year. Whether in everyday life, in the office or for sports, I Fig You cuts a fine figure everywhere. Highly recommended, not just for fig fans!
L’Eau d’Or Dort – The golden water sleeps
I really hope that the fragrance L’Eau d’Or Dort is less bulky than its name suggests. Translated, it means “the golden water sleeps”. It is precisely this image that the composition picks up on: a state of softness, calm and freshness, like bathing in a perfectly calm sea at sunrise or sunset. Everything seems decelerated, the light soft and subdued, perception sharpened. L’Eau d’Or Dort was created by perfumer Elise Pierre, who was also responsible for the olfactory realization of Milky No Way.

Testing L’Eau d’Or Dort by Fascent
Petitgrain and orange blossom show their best side in the opening of L’Eau d’Or Dort. Creamy, spicy-green citrus accents meet the tart nuances of tart lemon and tangy bergamot, creating an exciting melange of different Hesperides facets. Ozonic notes and aldehydes lend the fragrance molecular lightness and transparency and also ensure pleasant, almost floating moments. In combination with white musk, this cozy, soft mood is intensified in the finish.
L’Eau d’Or Dort by Fascent is a citrusy, tangy, creamy-soft fragrance that is reminiscent of summer, sun and the Mediterranean. Refreshing and clean – with subtle soap sprinkles here and there – the eau de parfum is the perfect companion for warm days, for vacations and the beach as well as for the office and everyday life. The presence is medium and so is the fragrance’s longevity. A beautiful, Mediterranean-style Hesperides creation that fans of orange blossom and neroli should absolutely love.
