After reviewing the fragrance year 2025 right through to the fall, we are now turning our attention to November and December, the final chapter of this annual review. Our olfactory journey through the seasons, through numerous individual reviews, new launches, entire lines and collections as well as the introduction of new brands is coming to an end.
But the last two months of 2025 still have some special fragrance moments in store. Warm and cozy creations that made winter so exciting and multifaceted and brought the fragrance year 2025 to an atmospheric close.
November 2025
Vanilla was undoubtedly one of the most influential ingredients of 2025, so it is hardly surprising that it also played a central role in November. With Vanilla Caviar by bdk Parfums and Vanilla Haze Extrait by Fugazzi, two top-class interpretations of the noble pod made their way onto the blog. Both compositions impressively demonstrated how multifaceted and contemporary vanilla can be interpreted – sometimes velvety and subtle, sometimes creamy and opulent and with a clear presence.
Cognac Reign by D.S. & Durga was next in line. An olfactory journey from modern New York to baroque Versailles – dry-woody and powdery, transparent and molecular. Tonka Sublime by Houbigant, on the other hand, is dedicated to another fragrance note that joins the ranks of “it” spices: the tonka bean. In Tonka Sublime, the traditional French house Houbigant has created a magnificent olfactory monument to it. A clear test recommendation!
In my article on Can’t Get Enough by Initio Parfums Privés, I not only introduced you to the eau de parfum, but also told you about the fragrance event in Hamburg that I was able to attend in September last year. On top of that, there was also some information about the Initio Parfums Privés brand and its special functional fragrance concept.
Kajal also had a second new creation in 2025: Topaz pays homage to the gemstone of the same name, topaz, which shines in warm gold and orange tones in a particularly valuable and rare variety. The fragrance for the jewel carries exciting elderflower notes, which combine with sunny and clean woody accents to create a summery, soft and pleasantly warm creation.
Doux Ennui by THoO takes us on an olfactory journey back in time to the era of the French Queen Marie Antoinette, who lived in opulence at the court of Versailles. And so golden-yellow, buttery brioches are the inspiration for this fragrance, which combines velvety fruits such as apricot and peach with milky-creamy and gourmand-amber nuances. Stunningly delicious!
We then moved on to a collection that I had been eagerly awaiting for a long time. The French niche fragrance brand Chambre52 impresses with its modern, multi-faceted creations. In addition, these beautiful, high-quality bottles with a vintage touch that I really like. Incidentally, my two favorites in the line were Tobacco Memories and Soleil Tonka, both of which I can only recommend to you. But first of all, here are all the previous posts on Chambre52:
- Chambre52 – Clear the stage for Tobacco Memories
- Soleil Tonka and Contre ta Peau by Chambre52 – Tonka Bean & Orange Blossom
- Orencie and Cuir à Corps by Chambre52 – musk rose and vanilla leather

There was also an interview in November with Elad Yifrach from L’Objet, who gave us a wonderful insight into his work, his inspirations and his approach to new creations. The end of November was marked by two new fragrances from Montale: Be My Plum and Intense Starry Nights are two very different compositions. The first is floral, gentle and soft with subtle plum accents, the second powerful and expressive thanks to earthy patchouli and lush rose, which meet hesperides and spices.
December 2025
December got off to a lascivious and sensual start with the Eau de Parfum Volupté Noire by Pierre Guillaume, which was inspired by Baudelaire’s collection of poems Les Fleurs du mal – “The Flowers of Evil” in German. The result: a complex, cozy and profound fragrance with a pleasant sweetness and sensual elegance that plays with the notes of lime blossom, acacia, date and davana.
The new Artist Collection by Thomas de Monaco includes the creations Flowers for Future, Jade Amour and Fleur Danger. The fragrances are not only visually silver, they also exude a cool, silvery shimmer and a futuristic, aesthetic aura.

With Midnight Scented Dream by Atkinsons 1799, a white-flower fragrance has made its way into the winter fragrance scene on this blog. Inspired by Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream, the perfume pays homage to the beguiling scent of night jasmine and therefore reveals light, soft and comfortingly creamy floral notes, rounded off with the finest almond milk. Heavenly!
The Comme des Garçons label launched three creations in 2025, which can certainly be described as a strong fragrance year for the brand. Maison Matine also had a lot to offer in 2025. After the three lines that I presented to you in September, the Night Fever Collection was added in December:
- Night Fever Collection by Maison Matine – Fragrance until dawn
- Bain de Minuit and Faire le Mur by Maison Matine – Night Fever Collection Part II
- Shifumi and Disco Inferno by Maison Matine – The party night comes to an end
The Musc Extrait and Nice Bergamote Extrait expanded the Extrait line of the French brand Essential Parfums and provided cuddly-soft and citrusy-summery nuances. Two fragrances that make me eagerly await further intensive versions of the classic collection.
The end of the year was marked by the launch of D’Orsay, a brand that has virtually reinvented itself with a whole host of new creations. Tonka Hysteria by D’Orsay thus marks the end of 2025 and brings this series of reviews to a wonderful close.
