N\u00e9roli Supercritique<\/a> by Les Eaux Primordiales<\/a> takes us today into the magical world of Moroccan gardens. Not just any garden, of course, but the Jardin Majorelle, located in the heart of Marrakech. Famous for its floral splendor, its lush gardens full of exotic plants, cacti and palms, whose lush green contrasts in color with the luminous blue fountains, pools and little walls for which the Jardin Majorelles is known.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fascinating Gardens – Jardin Majorelle<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Jardin Majorelle looks back on an exciting history. In the early 1920s, French painter Jacques Majorelle founded the garden complex in the middle of the city of Marrakech, not far from the Atlas Mountains. He attached great importance to a special color when creating fountains, path borders and pools: ultramarine blue. This bright color contrasted beautifully with the lush green plants, lemon yellow accents and reddish-ochre soil of the paths. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The garden covers an area of about four thousand square meters and is divided into different areas, it houses plants from all continents of our planet. Imposing palms and cacti alternate with opulently blooming bougainvilleas. In the 1980s, Yves Saint-Laurent finally acquired the property and made the deep blue studio built by Majorelle in the 1930s called “Villa Oasis” his home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

An oriental dream under the Moroccan sun, which underlined the beauty of the lush gardens. Even today, the gardens are a magnet for visitors, and a museum in honor of the famous fashion designer was built right next to the Jardin Majorelle after his death. Unfortunately, I have not found a freely available photo of the mysterious-looking and enchanting garden, otherwise I would have gladly inserted one here for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

N\u00e9roli Supercritique – Fragrant Extravagance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

N\u00e9roli Supercritique, the fragrance to the Moroccan garden dream, was – as usual with Les Eaux Primordiales<\/a> – created jointly by brand founder Arnaud Poulain and perfumer Am\u00e9lie Bougeois and includes the ingredients aldehydes, mandarin, bergamot, neroli, orange blossom, jasmine, tuberose, petitgrain, white musk, vanilla<\/strong> and guaiac wood<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arnaud Poulain presents here a delicious interpretation of orange blossom. It evokes the joy of an afternoon in Marrakech’s Jardin Majorelle, where neroli and jasmine scent the ultramarine pathways. Here he revisits the orange blossom like a delicious, sweet oriental pastry.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Neroli, the essential oil from the blossoms of the bitter orange tree, was, according to legend, the favorite fragrance of Anne-Marie de La Tr\u00e9moille (1642-1722), the Duchess of Bracciano, married into the noble Italian family of the Orsini. The family owned, among other things, a castello in the town of Nerola, located very close to Rome. Supposedly Anne-Marie was also Princess of Nerola and this combined with the passion for the scent of bitter orange blossoms is said to be the origin of the name Neroli.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By the way, the floral collection of Supercritiques by no means includes supercritical flowers that find fault with everything. Even if the name would suggest this. Rather, it is a tribute to unique flowers that may well be delicate to handle. For the extraction of essential oils, Les Eaux Primordiales uses a special and innovative process, the so-called high-pressure extraction withCO2<\/sub> – also called “SupercriticalCO2<\/sub> Extraction”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beguiling floral magic<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Peachy soft, velvety and elusive, the aldehydes in the opening of N\u00e9roli Supercritique are accompanied by a gentle citrus fruitiness. From the beginning I perceive the creamy facets of orange blossom and neroli, lovely, milky and fine powdery. Delicate orange nuances flow through the composition, sometimes intensely sweet, sometimes greenish tart. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tuberose flashes here and there in the course of the fragrance with its beguiling white flower notes, which pour into the floral creaminess of the fragrance, merging with it and forming a beguiling m\u00e9lange. Gradually, N\u00e9roli Supercritique reveals the crystalline notes of musk that guide the creation’s way into the base. Subtly smoky guaiac wood and the dark spicy nuances of vanilla finally round off the eau de parfum skillfully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

N\u00e9roli Supercritique from the house of Les Eaux Primordiales is a fine, gentle and exceedingly sunny floral fragrance that not only pays homage to the blossoms of the bitter orange tree, respectively neroli, as well as orange blossoms, but also incorporates them into a beautiful bouquet of white flowers, velvety fruit accords and a creamy powderiness. A summery creation with a medium presence that can be worn in the warmer seasons for almost all occasions. Entirely in the style of the previous creations of Les Eaux Primordiales, N\u00e9roli Supercritique convinces with clarity, elegance and stylistic confidence. Not only for fans of neroli and orange blossom an absolute recommendation, but also for all those who are looking for a modern, finely balanced and not too lush white flower fragrance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
