The Extraits Extr\u00eames Collection from the French niche fragrance brand The Different Company has quite a few highlights to offer: The fragrance oil concentration of over 50% is definitely worth mentioning\u2014that\u2019s quite impressive. Then, as already mentioned, we have five fragrances dedicated to more or less different themes. Two gourmand scents\u2014I\u2019d guess they\u2019re neo-gourmands\u2014a floral fragrance, a woody-smoky creation, and a green, fresh extrait de parfum. <\/p>\n\n

The fragrances are designed to combine the brand\u2019s signature elegance and sophistication with exceptional longevity and a unique expressiveness and intensity. We\u2019ll find out how these elements harmonize in a moment, as we\u2019re starting today with the first of the two gourmand fragrances: Salty Kiss. <\/p>\n

Salty Kiss \u2013 Caramel Meets Salt Crystals<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

“Salty Kiss”<\/a> by The Different Company captures precisely the olfactory elements that define a neo-gourmand fragrance. On the one hand, it features typical dessert-like facets; on the other hand, it also includes components like salt, which add excitement and dynamism. <\/p>\n\n

The perfumer behind Salty Kiss is Christiano Canali. We already know him from numerous fragrances by Rubini<\/a>, the three creations by Malbrum<\/a>, La Dea Bendata<\/a> by Nobile 1942, and Romanza<\/a> by Masque Frangranze. In The Different Company\u2019s Extrait de Parfum, he combines delicious caramel with notes of crispy speculoos and crystalline salt. An irresistible temptation that\u2019s impossible to resist. <\/p>\n\n

Salty Kiss opens with smoky, tipsy notes. What does the scent remind me of? Butter toffee, amber-colored rum, and the smoky spice of real bourbon vanilla. And in between, creamy caramel\u2014warm, smooth, and carried by the sweetness of toasted sugar. Creamy, nutty nuances join in, reminiscent of almonds and hazelnuts, blending softly and harmoniously into the composition, while spicy, cookie-like facets and salty, crystalline notes add exciting accents. Heavenly! <\/p>\n\n

“Salty Kiss” by The Different Company is a fragrant sin. It\u2019s so wonderfully gourmand, seductive, and delicious that you just want to let yourself go and enjoy it. This creation manages to harmonize and blend intense and powerful nuances in such an elegant and beautiful way that no single note stands out; instead, it results in a very harmonious, not-too-sweet, and thoroughly airy blend. Its presence isn\u2019t overpowering, but Salty Kiss is still quite noticeable and also impresses with excellent longevity. For me, this Extrait de Parfum is better suited for the cooler months, as that\u2019s when the gourmand facets of this fragrance really come into their own. <\/p>\n\n
