Today could be gourmand – at least that’s my guess. Chocolat Noir<\/a> and Lait d’Amande<\/a> initially suggest that things are heading in a sweeter, more indulgent direction. These two creations conclude my little series on The Pink Artist. After Pink, please! – The Pink Artist brings summer to your skin <\/a> and Let’s get flirty with Juicy Rose and Blushy Lips by The Pink Artist<\/a> are now followed by my review of the label’s last two fragrances. While the previous eaux de parfum were rather summery and light, this time it should be much warmer, perhaps even autumnal or wintery. <\/p>\n

Chocolat Noir by The Pink Artist<\/strong> surprises<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

When you think of chocolate in fragrances, you immediately have a certain image in your head: sensual, seductive, melt-in-the-mouth milk chocolate that makes your mouth water. Yet this fragrance can do so much more. Sometimes it is dry and slightly bitter, almost dusty, sometimes soft and creamy, with varying degrees of sweetness. There is often a subtle bitterness, reminiscent of dark chocolate, and occasionally roasted or slightly smoky nuances. <\/p>\n\n

The reason for this diversity lies in the cocoa bean itself. Depending on its origin and processing, it develops very different nuances – and it is precisely these that can also be found in perfumes. Chocolate is used particularly frequently in gourmand compositions, where it is combined with spices, woods or balsamic notes, making it sometimes sweet and seductive, sometimes dark and surprisingly elegant. <\/p>\n\n
