Imperial Parfums<\/a> is a completely new discovery on this blog so far. The label was founded in 2022 by Chamile Marouane, with the aim of breathing new life into the luxury niche fragrance world. Based in Dubai, the fragrance house is dedicated to traditional oriental raw materials and beautifully captures the lush and multi-faceted aromas of this region. Imperial Parfums’ portfolio currently comprises nine fragrances – the latest of which I would like to introduce to you today: Kashmir<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n

Kashmir – Silky-soft elegance<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The source of inspiration for the Kashmir<\/a> fragrance is – as the name suggests – the finest cashmere fabric. It is obtained from the fine undercoat of the cashmere goat, which originally comes from the Tibetan highlands and the Indian Kashmir Valley. The fibers are traditionally combed out by hand – not shorn, as is the case with other types of wool. It is a laborious but gentle process that is only possible once a year during the moulting season. The wool is then cleaned, sorted and spun into extremely fine yarns just a few micrometers in diameter, which makes cashmere significantly softer and warmer than sheep’s wool. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, it is not only the extraction of the wool, but also the subsequent hand weaving that is considered a fine art and is still practiced today in northern India, Nepal and Mongolia. The Kashmir Valley is particularly well known, where fabrics of incomparable lightness and elegance are created on traditional wooden looms – thread by thread, slowly woven by hand, each piece unique. The weaving technique gives the fabrics a characteristic structure and a finely lively surface, which is what makes this precious material so appealing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Imperial Parfums takes this inspiration and transforms it into the eponymous fragrance Kashmir. The ingredients pear, sugar cane, honey, jasmine, vanilla<\/strong> and white musk<\/strong> create a composition that translates the supple softness and sensual warmth of the fabric into an olfactory form. <\/p>\n\n\n

What does Kashmir by Imperial Parfums smell like?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In Kashmir, juicy, sweet notes of ripe pears combine with milky, soft jasmine cream and the fine powdery and radiant white accents of musk. The result is a smooth, soft and cozy melange of fruity and seductive notes that you simply want to fall into. A hint of honey lends the creation golden facets, while sugar cane brings crystalline, caramel-like moments to the composition. Lovely, floral vanilla conjures up a delicate almond note in the extrait de parfum and rounds it off wonderfully. Despite all the feel-good notes, the creation has a fine, subtle freshness that underlines its lightness and transparency. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When is the best time to wear Kashmir?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Kashmir by Imperial Parfums is a gourmand, fruity and creamy fragrance that is very bright, airy and full of life. Like a ray of sunshine, it brings light, warmth and comfort to the dark and cool season. Ideal for autumn and winter<\/a>, but I can also imagine Kashmir being great for spring and summer. Perfect for anyone who loves fruity perfumes – especially with pear – and prefers light, transparent, musky gourmands. It can be worn on any occasion and is also unisex – what more could you want?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
