The fragrance house L’Artisan Parfumeur<\/a> has a special place in my heart, as the brand has accompanied me since the beginning of my passion for niche fragrances and enchants me again and again with every new creation. From the travel fragrances of Bertrand Duchaufour to the wonderful Les Paysage collection<\/a>, from the La Botanique<\/a> line to the many, many classics such as Passage d’Enfer<\/a>, M\u00fbre et Musc<\/a> or Fou d’Absinthe<\/a> – the label’s portfolio is as extensive as it is beautiful. Even if there has been a lot of change in terms of fragrances in recent years – new creations have been added, others have been discontinued – L’Artisan Parfumeur has always retained its artistic core: a poetic, often nature-loving approach that does not shy away from rough edges and shows the great aesthetics of French perfumery in all its diversity. <\/p>\n

\"L'Artisan<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n

Fragrances such as Un Air de Bretagne<\/a> or Soleil de Provence<\/a> from the Les Paysages collection transport us to the diverse landscapes of France, while La Chasse aux Papillons Extr\u00eame<\/a> and Passage d’Enfer Extr\u00eame<\/a> enchant us with their atmospheric scenes. This attention to detail – be it in terms of the raw materials, the balance of the compositions or the narrative concept – is what makes the brand so unique for me. <\/p>\n\n

L’Artisan Parfumeur is now more modern, the packaging has been revised and the range is also more streamlined than before. Some old classics have disappeared, while new lines such as La Botanique<\/a>, Les Merveilles<\/a> and Les Paysages<\/a> have been added, further developing the house’s signature. But despite all these changes, you can still feel what fascinated me from the very beginning: Creations that touch, carry you away and tell their very own story. That’s why I’m all the more looking forward to regularly introducing you to new perfumes here and immersing myself in the world of L’Artisan Parfumeur<\/a> together with you. <\/p>\n\n

Histoire d’Orangers Extr\u00eame by Marie Salamagne<\/h2>\n\n

For me, perfumer Marie Salamagne is one of the most exciting creative voices in modern perfumery. Born in Paris in 1977, she became fascinated by scents at an early age and was inspired by everyday things. After a brief detour to study medicine, she decided to study chemistry and eventually graduated from the ISIPCA in Versailles. Since 2001, she has been part of the renowned fragrance manufacturer Firmenich, where she has been able to really develop her own style. <\/p>\n

Salamagne describes her creative process almost like painting a canvas: she thinks in terms of colors, contrasts and moods and translates these into fragrance notes. She works in a very structured way, with sketches and notebooks for individual ideas and accords. For L’Artisan Parfumeur<\/a>, she not only created the original Histoire d’Orangers<\/a> in 2017, but also the new, more opulent version Histoire d’Orangers Extr\u00eame<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n

While the original captures a bright, creamy orange blossom – light, Mediterranean, sun-drenched – the Extr\u00eame version is intended to be “more intense, more contrasting, more penetrating” without losing its relaxed elegance. While the original was limited to the ingredients neroli, orange blossom and musk, Marie Salamagne combines the fragrance notes musk,
