The L’Objet<\/a> brand used to specialize in luxurious design objects, the finest tableware, table and home accessories and not so long ago also launched its own fragrance line with five eaux de parfum. Oh Mon Dieu<\/a>, Rose Noire<\/a>, C\u00f4t\u00e9 Maquis<\/a>, Bois Sauvage<\/a> and Kerylos<\/a> are the names of the individual creations, which were created by perfumer Yann Vasnier and – the last-named Kerylos – by Jean-Claude Ellena. In addition to fragrances, L’Objet’s range also includes unusually designed scented candles and incense sticks, which I have not yet had the opportunity to test. However, I have the eaux de parfum here and would like to introduce them to you today and in my next posts. <\/p>\n\n\n

L’Objet – Luxury design objects<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The L’Objet brand was founded by Elad Yifrach in Beverly Hills in the mid-2000s, following his previous success as an interior designer. As already mentioned, the label initially focused on exclusive high-end table accessories inspired by Yifrach’s many journeys and the different cultures he experienced while travelling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the very beginning, the brand has relied on traditional craftsmanship and works – then as now – with first-class artisans who create L’Objet products with great attention to detail using the finest raw materials. Over the years, the luxurious tableware has been joined by home accessories, skincare products and a perfume and home fragrance range. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’ve had the latter in our portfolio at Aus Liebe zum Duft<\/a> for a few weeks now and I have to say that I’m completely thrilled with the look. I’m happy to show you a few pictures. I particularly love the scented candle with the nose, the Nez Candle<\/a>, even though I haven’t smelled it yet. But how unusual is that? <\/p>\n\n\n

Oh Mon Dieu! – Oh, my dear!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Let’s start with the fragrance Oh Mon Dieu!<\/a> which totally appeals to me by name. Not because of the reference to God, but because of the generally unconventional fragrance name. In contrast, the glass bottle looks almost classic, in black, white and a simple design. The labeling is modern and minimalist. Perfect!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The visual focus here is certainly on the wooden lid, which is decorated with a pretty crackle pattern that spontaneously makes me think of Japanese Raku ceramics. The white layer of lacquer is broken up by uneven black cracks and fissures, making the bottle a great eye-catcher that once again proves the point: Less is more! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Perfumer Yann Vasnier developed this creation, which is inspired by the French capital of the 1960s, as the press release reveals: “Paris, 1969. The sexual and artistic revolution. The unconventional was in the air – raw, wild, playful and undeniably sexy. Women were as bold as their lipstick color, flaunting their freedom, style and seductive skills.” Vasnier combined the ingredients cognac, caramel, coriander, allspice, rose, jasmine, plum, blackcurrant, leather, incense<\/strong> and oakmoss<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n

Lush, liqueur-like nuances open Oh Mon Dieu! and almost make me exclaim the same! Gosh, this is delicious! Soon, soft, peppery, dry-spicy nuances are added, finely accentuating the opulent booziness of the opening and lending it exciting facets. As the fragrance progresses, the notes of soft-sweet rose, creamy-powdery flowers (jasmine? iris?) and dark fruits combine with the spices and the liqueur-like cognac. This makes Oh Mon Dieu! lighter, airier and at the same time gives it beautiful, sensual lipstick nuances that are skin-like and also a little sexy. A hint of buttery suede flows in, accompanied by the delicate coolness of incense and the subtle earthy-woody accents of oakmoss. Superb!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L’Objet has not promised too much. Oh Mon Dieu! is a sophisticated, elegant and modern blend of powdery-creamy, floral, spicy and boozy notes that has certain vintage vibes but is anchored in the here and now. Sensual, seductive and skin-like, the eau de parfum is perfect for anyone looking for harmonious, suede compositions with fine spices, fruits and flowers. I’m a big fan of leather iris, so this creation is exactly to my taste, even though the noble iris is not listed in the fragrance notes. A wonderful prelude to this visually exciting collection, which I will introduce to you in the next few days. An absolute recommendation for Oh Mon Dieu! \u2764\ufe0f<\/p>\n\n\n\n
