The brand L’Atelier Parfum<\/a> recently launched a new fragrance series called Opus 4, which includes the creations Peartopia<\/a>, Berry Shiver<\/a>, Woodylicious<\/a> and Carnal Bliss<\/a>. It’s easy to deduce that there must have already been an Opus 1, Opus 2 and Opus 3, all of which completely slipped through my fingers. This article is therefore the first to date on the fragrance house founded by Mascha Russac and Mikolaj Pietrzak in 2020. The two worked together in the beauty industry for many years before focusing on their own brand, L’Atelier Parfum. <\/p>\n

Opus 4 – Skin Sensations<\/h2>\n\n

The brand’s fourth work focuses on the skin, its sensations, sensuality and sensuality. “Feelings belong to every heart and musk to every skin. With musk as a key ingredient, this opus unveils and explores the infinite world of sensuality,” writes L’Atelier Parfum, and indeed, hardly any other fragrance note is as associated with skunky accents for me as the finest musk. I therefore very much assume that this ingredient will be found in all four fragrances in the line and will always be interpreted differently and anew. <\/p>\n\n

Peartopia – Olfactory pear bliss<\/h2>\n\n

Pears are on everyone’s lips in the fragrance world and L’Atelier Parfum has also dedicated its own eau de parfum Peartopia<\/a> to the autumnal stone fruit, which is intended to express “innocent spontaneity”. I usually associate compositions with pears with light-heartedness, youthfulness, cheerfulness and optimism, so I am excited to see what perfumer Sidonie Lancesseur<\/a> conjures up for us from the ingredients ambrette, pear, magnolia, iris, ambroxan, cedarwood<\/strong> and white musk<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

“I wanted to capture the feeling you get when you enjoy a delicate, crisp pear: a moment that is both pleasurable, fresh and calming. I built my fragrance around a juicy pear and combined it with a bright, textured floral accord at the heart and a very enveloping musky base.” – Sidonie Lancesseur, nose of Peartopia<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Ambrette is not at the top of the list of fragrance notes for nothing, as the scent immediately reveals wonderfully creamy, powdery, delicately sweet nuances, which are soon accompanied by wonderfully juicy pear. Fruity, sweet, spring-like and – as expected – characterized by a captivating light-heartedness and cheerfulness, Peartopia is an absolute dream for me. The magnolia adds soft, aquatic-fresh floral notes that are underpinned by buttery iris and clean cedarwood. A few dabs of ambroxan for super-soft feel-good accents and the crystalline facets of radiantly bright musk round off this wonderful creation in an extremely harmonious way. <\/p>\n\n

Peartopia is a light, bright and transparent mix of juicy-sweet pear, cottony-soft creamy and powdery notes and floral-fresh moments, which makes a wonderfully relaxed, cheerful and casual impression on me. An eau de parfum that is very pleasant, uncomplicated and – if you like pears – an absolute all-rounder in the warmer months of the year. Rather feminine in appearance, very clear, minimalist and with a light to medium presence, Peartopia by L’Atelier Parfum is perfect for all fans of fruity-floral musk compositions with a soft, synthetic finish. Lovely! \ud83c\udf50<\/p>\n\n

Berry Shiver – Fragrant berry shower<\/h2>\n\n

Perfumer Karine Vinchon-Spehner<\/a> was at work on today’s second creation, which bears the name Berry Shiver<\/a>. It should therefore be almost clear which ingredient plays a leading role in the fragrance, namely berries. The list of ingredients leaves it more or less open as to what kind of berries are involved. In addition to blackcurrants<\/strong>, red fruits<\/strong> are mentioned, as well as bergamot, mandarin, cardamom, rose, jasmine, musk, patchouli<\/strong> and sandalwood<\/strong>. In Berry Shiver, the skinnier component of musk is thus combined with berries and flowers, giving us yet another fruity and powdery-floral fragrance. <\/p>\n

Berry Shiver starts the fragrance with soft, creamy berry notes and a tart citrus freshness. Compared to Peartopia, which started off very lively, sparkling and light-hearted, the opening of the second candidate is incredibly calm, gentle, almost meditative. The soft, radiant and crystalline nuances of musk create an incredible transparency and lightness, which are gently underscored by dewy rose sweetness and white jasmine cream. The berries remain throughout the fragrance, rounded off by the delicate and cozy feel-good accents of creamy, light patchouli and warm sandalwood. Great!<\/p>\n\n

If you like berries and red fruit fragrances with floral, pleasant undertones, Berry Shiver is the perfect choice. This eau de parfum is also characterized by a very coherent, balanced and harmonious composition, is airy, transparent and has a light to medium presence. Modern, timeless and feminine, this creation is a perfect, pleasant and uncomplicated fragrance companion for the warmer months of the year. Wonderfully berry! \u2764\ufe0f<\/p>\n\n
