The Room 1015<\/a> brand has launched Wavechild<\/a>, a new eau de parfum that revolves around surfing. Summer, sun, beach, impressive surf spots, cool boys and girls who ride the waves carefree, effortlessly and casually, seeming to dance on them. Doesn’t that sound wonderfully summery and therefore perfectly suited to the current season? Our Baltic Sea beach with its gentle waves is usually too gentle for surfers, but even here there are always windsurfers and kitesurfers showing off their skills on the azure waters. And it’s always fun to watch them do it. \ud83c\udfc4\u200d\u2642\ufe0f<\/p>\n

Before I start with the actual review, I would like to remind you of a few more great creations from Room 1015. First and foremost, of course, Cherry Punk<\/a>, the cherry-leather stunner, which is available as eau de parfum and extrait (you can find my review here<\/a>). Both are an absolute fragrance highlight, and not just for cherry fans. Hollyrose<\/a>, Sweet Leaf<\/a> and Purple Mantra<\/a> are also unique and fascinating.<\/p>\n\n

But the other compositions from Room 1015 are also worth seeing and smelling. The French rock pharmacist Michael Partouche, founder of the brand, always works with renowned perfumers – such as J\u00e9r\u00f4me Epinette, Serge de Oliveira, Anne-Sophie Behaghel and Am\u00e9lie Bourgeois – and so the fragrance we are reviewing today was created in collaboration with J\u00e9r\u00f4me Di Marino.<\/p>\n\n

Wavechild – Child of the waves<\/h2>\n\n

Of course, Wavechild doesn’t take us to the Baltic coast, which is right on my doorstep, but to one of the most famous surfing beaches in California. Huntington Beach is located in Orange County, in the suburbs of the Los Angeles metropolis, and is also known as Surf City due to its seemingly endless beach, which is perfect for surfing.<\/p>\n

From the legendary Huntington Beach to the surf gangs, the bikers and the electrifying mix of thrills and creativity, Wavechild is a tribute to the art of surfing. The perfume you hold in your hands is a raw, rebellious burst of energy from A to Z. Open your nostrils, expand your mind and become a wavechild.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n

The visuals for the fragrance fit perfectly, with a slightly retro feel thanks to the color scheme, and the model West Adler – also a surfer, by the way – with his casual, hippie style fits seamlessly into the image of the summery, sunny and relaxed surfer fragrance from Room 1015.<\/p>\n\n

Perfumer J\u00e9r\u00f4me Di Marino used the ingredients orange, mandarin, lemon, watermelon, coconut, woods, cocoa<\/strong> and ambergris<\/strong> for his fragrant interpretation of surfing, the Californian beach and the summer sun. Sounds pretty tasty, doesn’t it?<\/p>\n

Wavechild starts fresh, fruity and with summery, molecular nuances in the fragrance. The citrus notes provide freshness and dynamism, while the watermelon recreates the aquatic facets of the sea. Room 1015’s eau de parfum is lucid and radiant, very summery, transparent and with that typical molecular shimmer that makes the fragrance seem elusive at times. The coconut provides bright, creamy and soft accents, but is rather restrained overall, leaving the fruity, aquatic and fresh melange of watermelon and hesperides to take the lead. The finish is sweet and still light and airy, with additional sweet, warm and powdery-fluffy nuances.<\/p>\n\n

Room 1015 Eau de Parfum is perfect for all fans of molecular fragrances, summery, aquatic and transparent creations and watermelon. A light yet present and long-lasting unisex composition that skillfully captures the nonchalance and light-heartedness of summer and surfing.
